C.D. Lyons ( Captain Bluetongue) has been arrested by the British Harmonica police and unfortunately was unable to make it back to Australia for the National Folk Festival.
Brother John was very pleased to have Christian Marsh stand in for Bluetongue and a truly great time was had by all.

WHY DID YOU SELECT THIS TRACK TO SUBMIT TO THE IMAs?
We have many songs both contemporary and traditional that are social action songs.  This particular track (Divine Justice Coming Down) is a song that was inspired by the recent and in some countries the current financial crisis. It is our most popular social action song.

DESCRIBE THE INSPIRATION FOR THIS TRACK:
Sounds from the Great Depression for The Current Depression.
The inspiration for this track was the recent financial meltdown. It has some important things to say about the nature of the corporate beast and it reminds us of the fact that the train very nearly ran off the tracks. It calls for all of us to awaken from our places of oblivion and at the end of the day to realize that the corporate monsters who suck the life from every corner of the globe will be brought down.

WHY IS THIS TOPIC IMPORTANT TO YOU?
This topic is the big one …. It is how the pharaohs control the slaves. It is the battlefield and we look forward to a time when the good guys win and the inhabitants of planet earth are free.

DESCRIBE YOUR AUDIENCE: Our audience on one hand is made up of baby boomers who love the traditional folk and blues tunes that are a big part of our repertoire. On the other hand at least 50% of our audience is the 20 to 30 year old sons and daughters of baby boomers. They appreciate acoustic music. They love slide guitar. They recognize that what we do is the roots of many forms of contemporary music and they connect in a big way to our social action songs.
